A Family Affair: How 3 RSIR Brokers Worked Together on the Sale of a Mercer Island Dream Home

When a home is brought onto the market, the seller is typically represented by one broker while the buyer is represented by another. Oftentimes, these representatives come from different real estate brokerages, however the recent sale of a Mercer Island home was different. First, Realogics Sotheby’s International Realty (RSIR) brokers Barbara Quaranta and Becky Gray teamed up to represent the home for sale. When a buying client hired Toby Lumpkin, another RSIR broker, to represent them in their home search, Toby knew that they had to check out the Mercer Island home. Barbara, Becky and Toby connected at one of the firm’s company events and eventually facilitated the transaction on behalf of their clients to ensure a smooth process for all parties.
“This was the first time that Toby, Becky and I worked together on a deal, and it was immediately clear to me that we were part of the same culture. The negotiation was intense and at times unnerving, but I always felt confident that it was respectful,” reflected Barbara Quaranta. “Although It was evident that the three of us were standing behind our respective clients’ best interest, we found a way to reach an agreement that made both parties happy. I’m very proud to be part of the RSIR brand with so many highly professional and collaborative brokers.”
Toby Lumpkin & Barbara Quaranta were all smiles as they met up in the RSIR office.
